'Andrew has been in Wales more than anywhere else in his life - he's Welsh, as far as I'm concerned. He's got a real feel for a place, and he's found a place he reckons is Heaven on Earth, and that's mid-Wales. He has a huge range of musical friends that he can call on, and he makes good use of them. He came here in the '70s as a kind of hippie dropout - I'm sure he won't mind me saying that - but his writing and storytelling and all the rest of his canon is through the roof.
